the River Guru Fun Yak Scavenger Hunt – a unique way to connect with the
breathtaking Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument.
Embark on a journey that allows you to bond with the river through creative
and mindful missions, fostering a deeper appreciation for this
remarkable section of the Rio Grande. Designed for adventurers of all
ages who love to explore, listen, unleash their creativity, learn new
things, and immerse themselves in nature's beauty.
Choose from three thrilling options: rent fun yaks (inflatable kayaks) to
leisurely navigate the river on your own,do the fun yaks with a guide ,
or combine the scavenger hunt with a rafting excursion. The Orilla Verde
section offers a serene and picturesque stretch of smooth water (class 1
and 2), nestled off the main highway and serving as a migratory bird
corridor.
This extraordinary adventure is a collaboration between Los Rios River
Runners – New Mexico's oldest and most experienced rafting company – and
Creative Soul Scavenger Hunts, renowned for hosting immersive games in
20 locations, including Taos and Santa Fe.
Fun Yak (kayak) rentals:
Single: $50
Double: $75
Rentals include paddles, personal flotation devices, and helmets.
Self-pickup and drop-off are available for suitable vehicles, or let Los
Rios handle it transporation for an $80 fee.
Scavenger Hunt prices: $35 per person.
A waterproof phone case for your team captain is required (available for $10 from Los Rios, or bring your own).
For a guided experience, a minimum group of 4 is required:
$70 per person for a guided trip (fun yaks or boats)
Plus $35 per person for the scavenger hunt
